Competition of creative works “Man and energy saving”

The competition for drawings and posters “Man and Energy Conservation” was held by the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection of the Faculty of Chemistry of UzhNU (Prof. Chundak S.Yu.) together with the Transcarpathian Oblast Ecological and Naturalistic Center of Student Youth (OV Gerevich) and Maksimidli University (Munich, Germany) (Prof. Vogt Markus) within the framework of the international project “Responsibility for creation in Ukraine: an interdisciplinary and ecumenical exchange of experience in the field of sustainable energy and the creation of an information center in Uzhgorod”.

The purpose of the competition is to attract young people’s attention to the problems of energy efficiency and rational use of natural resources, Transcarpathia reported online at the Church and Environment Foundation.

Berehovo gymnasium students learn to watch birds

Students from the “Opre Roma” gymnasium in Berehovo, including Roma children, recently visited the “Everyone Can Help” volunteer center for an educational excursion. Krystyna Solanska, a teacher at Rativtsi Gymnasium and an eco-activist of the Institute of Ecological and Religious Studies (IERS), organized a search quest named “Find the Primroses” for 5th-grade students who learn in Hungarian. This activity aimed for the students to identify the first spring flowers in the school yard and nearby fields, and to practice saying their names in Ukrainian, English, and Hungarian.
