Der Mitglieder des Interreligious, Civil and Environmental Forum of Eastern Europe (IRCEF) und der Teilnehmer an der Konferenz “Allianz religiöser und gesellschaftlicher Organisationen für den Klimaschutz Osteuropas”

 

Die Konsolidierung der Zivilgesellschaft in den osteuropäischen Ländern ist die Grundlage der Stabilität Westeuropas. Bindemittel einer solchen Konsolidierung und somit Instrument der Stabilisierung Osteuropas kann vor allem der Naturschutz sein, wenn er von allen Schichten der Bevölkerung unterstützt wird.

 

Leider wird dieses Instrument der Konsolidierung nur unzureichend genutzt, weil:

  • die Regierungen mit vielen anderen dringenden Angelegenheiten beschäftigt sind und die Priorität dieses Instruments nicht begreifen,
  • den NGOs in Osteuropa – im Vergleich zu ihren westlichen Kollegen – aufgrund mangelnder Erfahrungen, die breite Unterstützung der Bevölkerung fehlt.

Deshalb ist es erforderlich, die Naturschutz-NGOs in Osteuropa zu stärken, ihnen zu helfen, sich starker Partner in der Zivilgesellschaft zu versichern. In diesen Regionen ist die Kirche mit ihrer unvergleichlichen Autorität in der Bevölkerung ein solcher natürlicher Partner.

 

Unter dem Motto „Bewahrung der Schöpfung“ sind Kirche + NGO ein Instrument der Konsolidierung der Zivilgesellschaft Osteuropas. 

 

Um praktische Schritte zur Stabilisierung der Zivilgesellschaft zu vollziehen, haben  über 30 NGOs und kirchliche Organisationen 2016 die Ushgoroder Deklaration unterzeichnet, die IRCEF gegründet und ein Programm von Naturschutzprojekten ausgearbeitet. Die Realisierung der Projekte dieses Programms schafft die Grundlagen für die Konsolidierung der Zivilgesellschaft in Osteuropa. Aus diesem Grunde erweist sich die Finanzierung des IRCEF-Programms als eine überaus wichtige politische Aufgabe des Europarates!

 

Wir, die IRCEF-Mitglieder und Teilnehmer an der Konferenz “Allianz religiöser und gesellschaftlicher Organisationen für den Klimaschutz Osteuropas” wenden uns im Rahmen des vom Auswärtigen Amt der Bundesrepublik Deutschland finanzierten Projekts des Naturschutzbunds Deutschlands (NABU) im Namen der Stabilität Europas an das Europäische Parlament mit der Bitte um die Finanzierung des Programms der Naturschutzprojekte der IRCEF (der erste Entwurf eines Projekts des Programms in der Anlage).

Berehovo gymnasium students learn to watch birds

Students from the “Opre Roma” gymnasium in Berehovo, including Roma children, recently visited the “Everyone Can Help” volunteer center for an educational excursion. Their goal was to explore the world of bird observation and learn about different bird nest structures and feeders. Leonid Pokrytyuk, an experienced ornithologist at the Institute of Ecological and Religious Studies led them on this journey.

Krystyna Solanska, a teacher at Rativtsi Gymnasium and an eco-activist of the Institute of Ecological and Religious Studies (IERS), organized a search quest named “Find the Primroses” for 5th-grade students who learn in Hungarian. This activity aimed for the students to identify the first spring flowers in the school yard and nearby fields, and to practice saying their names in Ukrainian, English, and Hungarian.
