On Monday (October 10, 2022), an ornithotherapy was held with the children of IDPs on the Verke channel.

Leonid Pokrytyuk, an expert at the Institute of Ecological and Religious Studies (in cooperation with the German Nature Conservation Union – NABU) organized a group of children and adults to observe the noisy routine of birds on this channel (Berehovo). In this difficult time for Ukraine, it’s important to switch to something calming in order to protect a person’s mental state. This is very important, especially for IDPs. Volunteers of the Berehovo Volunteer Center “Everybody Can Help” give them such an opportunity almost every day.

Leonid especially emphasized what can and cannot be fed to ducks and other waterfowl and explained other feeding rules. The children also learned which birds can be seen on the channel.
