On August 31, the “Everybody Can Help” volunteer center held a workshop “Making bird nestings “.

Materials in the form of building pieces were received from Andriy Donichenko, head of the organization of people with disabilities “Parallel world”.

The children built real nesting houses from sets of rails and boards with the help of parents and grandmothers, under the guidance of handyman – Oleksandr from Kharkiv. During the workshop, the participants learned: which birds can inhabit artificial houses; which birds do not build nests; what are the requirements regarding the placement of nests; when you need to hang artificial nesting structures; whether birds use artificial nests outside the breeding season; who besides birds can populate nesting structures; why starlings should not be attracted in the land of viticulture.

Such workshops develop imagination, form creative skills, and teach a respectful attitude toward nature. We express our gratitude to the volunteer – Oleksandr from Kharkiv for his help.

The event was held by an IERS expert with the participation of children of IDPs as part of the cooperation of the Institute of Ecological and Religious Studies- IERS (headed by Alexander Bokotey) and the German Nature Conservation Union (NABU Bundesverband NABU International ), project coordinator Ivan TymofeievNataliya Kulya (IERS).
